## Frequently asked questions

### Is an AI voice agent legal in the EU?

Yes, if it follows the rules. Since 2 August 2026, Article 50 of the EU AI Act requires that callers know they are speaking to an AI, and our agent says so at the start of every call. The GDPR requires a data processing agreement, and call recording needs consent. We cover both in every setup.

### Where is the data stored?

We use providers running on EU servers, and we agree the retention period for conversations with you. Audio is only recorded if the caller consents.

### Can I keep my existing phone number?

Yes. Calls are forwarded from your existing number, for example only when nobody answers within 20 seconds, or outside office hours.

### What happens if the agent cannot answer?

It notes the question and a callback number, then immediately emails or texts the responsible colleague. In urgent cases it transfers the call.

### How is this different from a self-service AI receptionist?

With self-service tools, you do the setup yourself. We assess your calls, write the agent's knowledge base, connect your calendar, improve it every month from the reports and link it to your advertising.
